Factory Fit Out Project Engineering Manager – China – Long term contract (rates to £30/hr +)

Are you a Chinese speaker with an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background and looking for a role based in Changshu (65 miles from Shanghai)?

This minimum 12 month contract will see you work with Facility teams and relevant Engineering specialists to provide Plant Engineering Electrical and Mechanical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects, supporting the construction and modification of manufacturing facilities. You will undertake retrospective assessment of current construction team designs against facilities requirements and outline corrective actions. This Project Management role will encompass all elements of building and facility design / installation / commissioning and utilise relevant specialists to enable the evaluation of alternative economic solutions and support project justification.

Likely core elements required for this Factory Fit Out Project Engineering Manager will include,
– Degree / HNC level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Building Services discipline.
– Ability to converse in Chinese.
– Previous experience in the Manufacturing sector, working on Factory Fit Out design and installation.
– Awareness of Safe Systems for Commissioning of Plant Facilities.
– Excellent time management and negotiation skills, the ability to lead multi-disciplinary skills in time pressured environments.
– Membership of a recognised Engineering Council / Governing Body.
– Experience of MEP Design and Installation.
