QA Technician job - Stepan Company - China, ME

To carry out routine and non routine analysis for the support of process and quality control for the plant. Detailed responsibilities follows.

— To continuously organise and perform routine QC analysis of incoming material, in-process and finished process

samples in accordance to the documented testing methods.

— To be responsible for making daily decisions on any QC results, problem solving skills are required to ensure only

true results are accepted.

— To liaise and communicate daily (both verbal and written) correct results and information to the appropriate

departments in a timely manner.

— Proactively identify and initiate continuous improvements to products and systems used within QC.

— To carry out the short term projects involving non-routine analysis, such as customer complaint investigations,

external sample analysis, etc.

— To be responsible for some routine calibration of instruments, such as pH meter, RI, balance etc. and

maintenance of the records follwing routine procedures.

— Role holders provide guidance to plant operators when in the laboratory and assume full responsibility of the

laboratory outside of standard working hours, which includes lab safety, chemicals and waster management. To

work without supervision outside normal hours.

— To supervise and train new members by providing information and awareness of products and test methods.

— Any othe tasks assigned by QA manager

Required Experience

Knowledge of chemistry and hands on skills on sample analysis. Requires initiative and motivation as well as

being an enthusiastic team player. Stress tolerance required, high work standards and the ability to work with no

supervision.

Diploma or above in chemstry or chemical process.

To work within any instructions and guidelines under SHE/QA requirements. To complete all tasks within site

SHE/QA requirements.
