Manager In Training (Full-Time)

Aubuchon is looking for motivated individuals to join our Store Management team. This position is geared towards people who want to be on the fast track to store management. Must be willing to travel as part of the training program. Must be willing to relocate when a management opportunity arises. We have a competitive salary and benefits program during the training program.

Essential Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Lead and manage hardware store when store manager is out.

*
Run store floor or other specific, significant store area including personnel, facility, merchandise and service.

*
Insure standards compliance when manager is out.

*
Participate in location merchandise management including buying, pricing and physical merchandise presentation utilizing procedures established by retail administration.

*
Lead and participate in regular and special meetings.

*
Open and/or close hardware stores as assigned.

*
Participate in special project work when advised.

*
Maintain and comply with established retail standards.

Special Skills/Training/Requirements:
*
Ability to lead a team of Sales and oporations people.

*
Skill to operate computer and other automated office machines.

*
Ability to perform mathematic calculations and problems.

*
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

*
Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.

*
Demonstrated ability to supervise other employees, understanding of the fundamentals of supervision.

*
Demonstrated knowledge of sales approaches, methods, and techniques.

*
Occasional lifting up to 80 lbs.

*
Occasional climbing and working from ladder.

Experience/Education
*
5 years + retail management experience.

*
Background in retail management a must.
