A selective private school delivering a UK curriculum to around 2000 students from Years 1 – 12 is searchign for a secodnary Maths teacher to A-level. Students in the senior school study toward Checkpoint, CIPP, IGCSE and A-Level examinations. The school is well regarded in Shenzhen and in Guangdong province. The International section of the High School services 150 students currently who will graduate with UK ‘A’ Levels or in AP Subjects.

A generous monthly salary of between 18,000 – 23,000 RMB (US$2814 – 3596) is given to Secondary Teachers depending on experience. Housing and flight allowances and medical insurance is also provided.

Teachers who do best in this setting would be those who truly want to experience a more authentic Chinese teaching experience, are tolerant and flexible and good communicators. They need to have cultural sensitivity and be prepared to learn about the culture in which they live and work. Teachers must have 2+ years of post-qualifying experience and should have curriculum experience in either UK, IB, AP or similar programs. Previous ESL experience is welcomed.
