Responsibilities:
Liaison with Planning, Supplies& Engineering staff on matters pertaining to his work activitiesLiaison with other zone engineers for work items having an interface with other zone for inspection coverage, work priority, sequence&completion targets.Planning, organizing and controlling the work progress by the staff under his control on the aircraft or within the workshop, as appropriate, such that the overall progress of the aircraft maintenance activities is in accordance with the planned schedule and reporting any problem to project manager so that necessary action could be taken.The communication, control and discipline of staff under his charge to ensure that work is in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and safety regulations and the provision of guidance & technical advice on production issues to subordinates.Performing aircraft/component inspection duties within the scope of company authorization and ensuring a high inspection standard is continuously maintained.Assigning work task to staff under his control, make inspection for conformity to relevant approved data and make certification of the work accomplished within the scope if his company authorization.Making sure that adequate documentation is raised as required by company procedure and all work under his control is signed for and correctly certified, prior to the completion of his daily duty shift period.Monitoring the work standards and practices of staff under his control and to advise the related function manager if training is required.Ensuring that staff under his control work in a productive manner and that company procedure for man-hour booking is followed.Promotion of the company image by ensuring respect for customers’ personal & properties, good housekeeping & proper attire.Reporting on any quality / safety related occurrences, taking corrective actions and active participations in quality investigations as and when required.Notifying the management of any deficiencies in the company’s quality system, so that necessary action can ne taken to ensure improvement continuously.Maintaining an awareness of regulation authorities requirements as relevant to section’s work, including Human Factors principles & their implication to daily operation.Have the responsibility if assisting the SM in the administration, communication, control and discipline if the section
Requirements: Degree or technical schoolin aviation related studies or equivalent;Possess a FAA or EASA or HKCAD or CAAC ME or AV or STR or Components license with the relevant aircraft type II ratings with at least 3 years of hands on aircraft system maintenance experience on B737-CG/NG, B747-400 or B767-200/300. Those with a FAA license will be an added advantage;Reasonable command of spoken and written English.Proven track record as an maintenancetrades professionals in maintenance, repair and modification of aircraftProven ability to manage a large , multi-disciplined workforceKnowledge and experience in with development and delivery of aviation products, processes, and FAA, EASA and CAAC regulationsStrong Business AcumenExceptional communication and planning skillsAccountable to Project Manager of productionAccountable for leadingand managinga production group to meet production schedules, including trouble-shooting, repair, inspection and certification on job-cardsAccountable for meeting production schedulesand progress
