The Search Technology Center Asia (STCA), located in Beijing, China, is part of the Microsoft Search engineering team which recently launched Bing ( in China), and has been working in close partnership with our colleagues from Redmond and Microsoft Research Asia to deliver innovative Internet Search products and services to the U.S., China, Japan, Korea, and global Internet markets.

We are looking for a motivated test engineer for our Asia Experiences team, working on developing and shipping the most favorite search services for the Asia markets with focuses on user experience, quality of service, partnership and many other aspects of Bing services. You will have the following opportunities:

Understand and articulate the needs and requirements of Bing users and partners in the Asia markets and contribute to the product roadmap and strategy for Bing in Asia
Ensure the quality of Bing services in the Asia markets
Ensure the performance and availability of Bing services in the Asia markets

This role also provides an exciting opportunity to drive deeper customer and partner engagement and satisfaction for Bing users and industry partners in the Asia markets. If you’ve dreamed of changing the world and shaping the future of Search with Bing, this is the ideal role for you.
Qualifications:
As a Software Test Engineer, you will be working with PM, Dev teams and other test engineers during planning, design and execution phases to make sure we deliver high quality features for Bing services. You must feel comfortable working within a fast moving research and development team. You should have strong passion for delivering quality products to improve people’s life. You need to be able to independently plan and coordinate testing effort with the engineering team on multiple concurrent releases.
You must have good sense of software product quality and test workflow, and you need to have strong passion and sympathy for our users. Familiarity with Microsoft test tools is preferred. You are also expected to be able to work with Developers to help them repro and debug issues in the system. Strong communication skills in both Chinese and English are required. Experience in large-scale online services engineering and/or operation would be a great plus but not a must.
