Assistant IT Manager - Luxury
SUMMARY
The primary mission of this role is to assist the IS manager in coordinating the operational activities within the teams in China, and coordinate operational/project activities with the region.
The role will assist in supervising the IS teams within China, making sure they deliver in line with the planned timelines, requirements and according to budget
The secondary task of this role is to be the single point of contact for the upcoming ERP replacement project.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
– Manage, troubleshoot and coordinate enhancements/extensions/replacements of applications for retail, warehouse, CRM, wholesale, inventory and other store or back office operations
– Leverage business initiatives for retail, store operations, wholesale, logistics, warehouse, finance/accounting and HR
– Identify/coordinate between local, regional IT to ensure that proper solutions, standards and practices are implemented
– Creation of operational and project budget and respective control
– Recruitment, hiring, training
– Provide operational and project related reporting
– Planning and control of MIS activities in coordination with regional IT
– Hands-on management and coordination of support services for all brands for retail, wholesale, supply chain, back office
– Management of vendor relationships and contracts
– Interaction with stakeholders from all brands as well as counterparts in regional IT
– Management of requirement gathering, briefing, testing and rollouts
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
– Extensive knowledge of ERP implementation and design within a Retail environment (as well associated processes and business practices) is a must
– Functional and process knowledge of Retail POS, ERP, CRM, Finance Human Resource and Logistics systems is definitely preferred
– Very strong management and supervisory skills is mandatory
– A demonstrated solid knowledge of administration and management, including planning, evaluation, allocation and development (material and personnel), of resources, as well as budgeting, and reporting.
– Strong sense of Customer service is required.
– Understanding of the technical environment needed to support a retail environment (communication, hardware, network, security) is preferred
– Very strong interpersonal communication skills including active listening, clear writing and speaking, as well as coordination, persuasion, negotiation and social perceptiveness is mandatory
– Very strong judgment and decision making skills including critical thinking, complex problem solving and troubleshooting is mandatory
– Extremely effective resources management (financial, material and personnel) and time is critical
– Good analytical (Operational, technological and systems) skills in order to properly assess requirements and problem situations.
REQUIREMENTS
– Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science or equivalent
– Minimum 8-year relevant IT experience within multinational IT environment with at least 3-year in managerial and sizable team management level
– Prior experience in Luxury retail and wholesale is mandatory
– Fashion ERP Implementation experience mandatory (SAP/Oracle preferred)
– JDA, Yonyou U8, Xstore, eFuture knowledge a plus
– Fluent in both spoken and written English and Mandarin, additional languages are a plus
– knowledge or certification of (ITIL, COBIT, PMP) preferred.
– Regular travel might be required
