Audio Visual Country Manager - Shanghai, China




The Opportunity


This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, motivated and outgoing individual to continue our client’s sales growth and expand their team. The Sales Manager, China, will be responsible for selling the company’s products to existing and new accounts in defined markets, supporting the existing strategy and distribution policy. You will be experienced in sales and relationship management with major customers up to CEO level and ideally in the Audio Visual, Video Conferencing or similar technology marketplace.


Your main Responsibilities:


  • Maintaining and increasing sales to existing oeM and SI accounts, maximising growth whilst maintaining the company’s values and policy

  • Effectively building and managing existing relationships with multiple accounts in different vertical and geographic markets

  • Developing and managing new customers and opportunities

  • Supporting negotiations with customers on pricing, contract terms and schedules, in conjunction with the management team

  • Communicating customer needs effectively and in a timely manner to internal teams, formulating strategies to generate additional business

  • Resolving customer issues in an efficient manner

  • Sales planning, forecast updates and reporting for customer accounts

  • Organizing training sessions internationally

  • Attending international trade shows to develop and maintain business

Ideally based in Shanghai, our client is offering a very competitive salary of US$100-120k p.a. for the right person.


Your skills and experience


You will have strong experience in a results driven business to business environment with proven technical sales success within China, ideally within but not limited to an Audio Visual related or technical industry.


  • You must have a willingness to travel on a regular basis.

  • The ability to understand and communicate technical concepts and requirements to customers and internal teams equally

  • Additional Asian language skills are very desirable

  • Higher education at university or similar desirable but experience is more important

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to both present and negotiate at a high level

  • Experience of CRM systems a distinct advantage (MS Dynamics)

  • The ability to work within and help to develop an expanding team
