The Windows Embedded China team in Beijing is looking for a talented Program Manager with great leadership skills and a passion for agility, quality and efficiency to help deliver the next generation of specialized devices and intelligent systems.

Embedded devices are the fastest growing global market, outnumbering the PC market by a 4:1 margin. With a charter of extending the power of Windows and the potential of the Cloud to the world of specialized devices, Windows Embedded Business (WEB) team develop technology that can address billons of devices to be shipped in coming years. We work directly with partners that ship car infotainment systems, connected TVs and many other connected devices. There is no other experience like it at Microsoft where you get to wear many different hats and interact directly with customers to ship your product.

The WEB organization is expanding in China with new positions located in Beijing. This is your opportunity to join a team that is targeting next generation of devices in key market segments such as connected cars. This team will provide key applications and middleware technologies to the Windows Embedded product line to better enable OEM devices. The team is also strategically positioned in China to examine the China local market, as well as Asia regional market, in cooperation with marketing and sales teams to create a local and regional business strategy.

The Windows Embedded China team is looking for seasoned program managers with exceptional growth potential to help deliver technologies for embedded devices. Responsibilities include:
Manage embedded projects and releases working with developers and testers based in Beijing and collaborating with teams in Redmond.
Working with external partners to define user experiences for key applications like browsing and connected devices.
Working with external partners to define user experiences for Windows applications that will provide outstanding integration between devices and the cloud.
Contribute to local customer and partner engagements in concert with the business group’s customer and partner initiatives in order to expand our product influence in the global stage

The ideal candidate has:
5+ years of technology experience with an emphasis on program management or product development
taken a team through multiple complete product development cycles
practical experience demonstrating success at dealing with ambiguous problems and the ability to make solid progress when the solution is not well defined
great cross group collaboration skills
excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, and motivational skills
demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically about technical and cross-functional issues
a BA/BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering or experience and training equivalent to a technical degree
