Senior Project Manager ( Customs Integration) Job (Shanghai, ShangHai, China)
- Create and implement overall project deliverables, objectives, and scorecards for this large scale transformation.
- Implement and drive an operating rhythm to hold the teams accountable to on time deliverables and within budget. Identify risks and develop, recommend, and implement risk mitigation solutions.
- Work closely with the GE businesses and Customs leaders within Asia to identify gaps between current operations and the standard and create integration plans to close these gaps.
- Lead largely through strong influencing and change management skills. Look for the best solutions by seeking, sharing, and partnering with others in order to identify best practices globally for simplification across Asia. Conduct regular project reviews with assigned process leaders to ensure accomplishment of key results.
- Successfully create, monitor and manage a three-way-link between the GE business, customs agent and shared service provider to ensure proper hand-off and operational continuity. Own all integration communications with all businesses; ensure clear ownership of integration actions and business updates.
- Provide timely status updates to the Global Process Leader and Asia Operations team and participate on all customs leadership council calls.
- Serve as a change agent by seeking, sharing and implementing best practices from global peers in and outside the company in order to simplify customs processes in the region.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure budgets are set, spending is approved & project financials are fully funded.
- Support & lead efforts to deploy organizational model, monitor transition and key process indicators ensuring process stability throughout the transition.
- Help develop and monitor key performance indicators for shared services and customs agents.
- Assist in the creation of review mechanisms to ensure adherence to the enterprise standard and performance metrics to track the COE's and regions' speed, quality and cost of delivery.
- Leverage process indicators to identify opportunities for process simplification and LEAN. Lead value stream mapping and LEAN activities to drive unnecessary steps & cost from processes.
- Assist the Operations teams with providing training, coaching and guidance to the business COE's.
