Project Engineer – Turbine Control Job (Shanghai, ShangHai, China)

Essential Responsibilities: - Works as project engineer for turbine control project execution and delivers on time with high quality.
- Attends project kickoff meeting and design liaison meeting, and collects all required design input from customer and other vendors;
- Delivers qualified engineering drawings, BOM and documents on schedule, including hardware layout/wiring drawings, application software, HMI and maintenance & operation manuals. Revises technical documents and releases engineering change request if necessary.
- Performs product test and customer witness test in factory, and fixes all technical issues per punch list;
- Provides necessary technical support for other functions. Takes responsibility on continuous product and productivity improvement.
- Take charge in on-site service per project schedule, including unpacking, installation guide, testing and commissioning. Provides support for customer training.
- Logs working record, findings and working hours. Finalizes all technical documents when project closure. Updates tasks progress and status to project manager/direct manager.
- Respond to first level requests of customers. Assist customers with troubleshooting problems related to GE products. Communicate with customers on technical issue. Qualifications/Requirements: - BS in thermal engineering, automation, electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years' experience in steam turbine control and being familiar with DCS product and engineering process is a big plus.
- Self-starter with high energy and initiative, demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Conscientious & customer focused
- Demonstrated written and verbal communications. Good communication skills in communication with co-workers and customers.
- Proficient in the use of MS Windows, MS Office & AutoCAD
- Language skills, Chinese - Fluent, English - Working knowledge
- Ability to work with pressure and frequent/long time business travels, domestic or international, developed or developing regions.
