Responsibilities: Write and maintain high-quality software that solves real-world meaningful problems at scale Identify and implement innovative solutions to language-specific search Work closely with other engineers, product owners, and researchers; and provide linguistic expertise and direction for language-specific NLP projects Establish, track, and improve key language-specific search performance metrics Requirements: Minimum 3 years experience writing innovative algorithmic solutions to complex problems Experience in NLP research, semantics, syntax, and related areas Experience with large projects in Java or Perl Ability to shepherd projects from prototype stage into production Experience with CJK or other non-Latin writing systems Proficiency with Unicode encodings and standards, Solr and Lucene, SQL databases A/B testing experience The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, customer experience-focused, and works well in a team environment.
