Overview
Arbor Network’s Research and Development organization is seeking a threat intelligence analyst to join ASERT - Arbor’s world-renowned Security Engineering and Response Team. Our threat intelligence analysts leverage ASERT’s massive and exceptional malware analysis infrastructure to research anomolies and uncover emerging threats and attack campaigns. Our threat analysts then work independently or collaboratively with other threat analysts and reversers to dive deep, connect the dots, and ultimately produce novel, relevant, and timely threat content. Content may include historical context, IoC’s, TTP’s, threat actor information, Geo-political insight, predictive analysis, and mitigation strategies.
Responsibilities
Identify and prioritize emerging threats and potential attack campaignsAssess malware to determine attack campaign relationship and activityBuild contextual threat analysis using open and private intelligence sourcesProduce or contribute to the development of in-depth situational intelligence briefs covering emergent threats and attack campaignsProduce weekly threat bulletins that keep Arbor staff and customers informedFocus reversing efforts in response to the evolving threat landscapeDefine threat intelligence collection, analysis and presentation requirements to drive continuous improvement and enhanced capabilitiesField press inquiries regarding significant information security eventsRepresent Arbor’s thought leadership through presentations at industry conferencesMaintain and grow subject matter expertise and trust group connectionsInfluence the content and direction of Arbor’s advanced threat focused product line**Qualification**Qualifications
Required skills and experience
An understanding of how malware exploits vulnerabilities in networks, protocols, operating systems, and applicationsExposure to and familiarity with different malware families, botnets, threats by sector, and various attack campaignsExperience collecting, analyzing, and validating Open Source IntelligenceDemonstrable prior experience publishing complex technical information security content for external consumptionExcellent verbal skills including the ability to communicate effectively when working remotelyAbility to produce when working independently with minimum structure and supervisionAbility to take on additional tasks as incidents arise and demand warrantsPreferred skills and experience Foreign language fluency.
