Full Time, Exempt Position (Temporary for 3-6 months)
This temporary position is under the supervision of the Family and Community Services (FCS) Manager. Responsibilities include planing and coordinating interest classes on a year-round basis for children and youth ages 4 to 20 based on needs of clients and CASL's community; organizing artistic performances both within and outside CASL; promoting center activities and performance standards through collaborations with mainstream art center and organizations as well as participating in some of their activities; and supervising instructors of interest classes and special activities which include planning and implementation of class activities, planning of curriculum, attending training provided through Illinois Arts Council, City Arts or other organizations.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with some experience in children/youth education or community work. Candidate must have a pleasant personality with the fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred). computer skills and ability to translate and type in Chinese is required, so is the availability to work Tuesdays through Saturdays until late evening.
