Industrial Hygiene Leader Job (Shanghai, ShangHai, China)

- Timely recognize, evaluate and control those Industrial Hygiene (IH) risk factors or stresses arising in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or injury among the employees.

- Lead, coordinate and implement Industrial Hygiene Programs in GE China Technology Center, major programs include but not limited to
o Laser Safety (be the laser safety officer)
o Non-ionized and Ionized Radiation/Isotope Safety (be the radiation safety officer)
o Hazcom
o Local Exhaust Ventilation/Fume Hood/Glove box safety
o Hearing Conservation
o Respirator Protection
o Indoor Air Quality
o Inert Gas/Cryogen Safety

- Participate in Management of Change process, Conduct IH Exposure Assessment or IH Risk Assessments (Qualitative, and Quantitative if needed) for new or modified processes and operations in GE CTC. Coordinate and facilitate the local HIA (????????) process for any new or modified facility project.

- Coordinate and work with external parties such as local IH monitoring agency and GE approved consultant firm for periodic workplace occupational hazards monitoring.

- Work with CTC Occupational Health Specialist on the management of Company Occupational Health File (????????) and annual report to local government agency (MOH or Safety Bureau).

- Be responsible for the overall implementation of GE Industrial Hygiene (IH)) program in terms of applicable IH regulation compliance assurance, IH risk control verification, IH related training and communication to affected employees in CTC

- Prepare and provide Industrial Hygiene related education and communication to CTC employees

Other Responsibilities:

- Promote a strong safety culture through dedication to safety excellence, internal communications and personal behavior;

- Support labs from GRC technology teams or business teams as the EHS Focal Point to ensure the R&D activities are conducted safely and successfully;

- Lead or participate in incident investigations, identify root causes and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
