Job: Relocation Business Development Manager


Salary: Negotiable (base + commission + bonus)


Location: Shanghai, China


Our client are looking to expand their destination services and relocation departments, they are now seeking a well-qualified Relocation Business Development Manager to be based in Shanghai, China. The BDM is responsible for maintaining contact and building relationships with key prospects within the small to medium sized business world, surfacing viable opportunities for sales, crafting a sales strategy for each account and orchestrating the activities of the team and the prospect organisation towards a close and implementation. Responsibilities:



  • Lead Generation & Development – Networking for referrals; telephone & web research; pre-qualifying prospects for meetings




  • Develop connections with global mobility companies and other relocation companies




  • Build relationship’s with regional corporate HR to promote mobility service in China




  • Holding prospect meetings




  • Preparing for meetings – Strategising with team members and management; preparing formal proposals & cost analyses and following up with prospects




  • Preparing reports to / for management




  • Sales department meetings


    The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following skills/qualities:




  • At least three years business development experience in relocation/mobility industry




  • Experience with working in Global mobility will be highly preferred




  • A consistent record of goal attainment




  • A consultative approach with strong listening and leadership skills




  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling interaction with various levels, both internally and externally




  • Fluent English, written and verbal communication skills including negotiation and persuasion capabilities essential




  • The ability to be organised; able to function as part of a team or equally as a self-starter




  • The ability to manage deadlines and multi-task in a face paced office environment




  • Exceptional business email etiquette and professional telephone skills




  • Excellent presentation skills




  • The ability to research, identify and develop solutions to problems




  • Creativity and the ability to work within a developing environment




  • Computer skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
