Position: Technical Writer / Editor
Job description
Responsibilities:
· Creating English (and/or German) user manuals for consumer products in accordance with valid legal and normative requirements ;
· Researching normative and legal requirements for the creation of user manuals ;
· Checking and revising English (and/or German) user manuals, packaging and labels according to valid legal and normative requirements ;
· Proofreading and reviewing of technical documentations ;
· Translation management with external service provider;
· Typesetting of foreign-language instruction manuals.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical writing, communication or equivalent ;
· Fluency in written and spoken English, German language skills preferred, but not required ;
· Ability to describe complex situations in a short and comprehensive way ;
· Technical comprehension ;
· Profound knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat ;
· Ability to work in an accurate, independent and organized manner ;
· Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
