Music Teacher - Shanghai - August 2016


This international school in Shanghai China has been providing all-round early childhood, primary, and secondary programs to young people in China for over 20 years. Currently, the school in Shanghai is looking for a Primary Music Teacher for its August 2016 start.


Job Description: – To assist in managing the daily operation and administration of the division ; – To independently manage the administration and weekly operation of CIP programme in terms of communication with freelance teachers, instrument maintenance, ensuring the smooth running of classes, and handling correspondences; – To support the logistics of musical performance/concerts, and input music software scores; – To perform general clerical duties and maintain office records in order; – To take up any other duties as assigned by supervisor


Job Requirements: • Fluent English speaker • Holder of Bachelor Degree and teaching certificate or license, with recognized qualification in primary education, child development or other related fields • Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience • Support the school’s values • Have passion for teaching students • Sensitive and responsive to the needs of students and demonstrate commitment to their best interest • Demonstrate commitment in teamwork • Previous experience of working with a diverse group of young children and/or implementation of inquiry based learning approach is a plus Each Early Childhood Education (ECE) and primary class has fully-trained western and Chinese co-teachers working together.
