Job Description for the Position as Creative Visual Merchandising Manager


The following is a high level job description for the position as Creative Visual Merchandising Manager. This position reports to the VP.


CREATE


•Ensure that our brand is at the absolute forefront when it comes to visual merchandising standards, while keeping with the brand’s positioning and identity.


•Specifically responsible for the creative direction, development, selection of outfits, and styling of all visual merchandising related aspects of the retail store, covering the window, impact zone, wall, rack and table displays, as well as the dedicated denim destination area, fitting-rooms and cash counter. This with the ultimate goal to increase sales.


•Further, responsible for the creative direction, development and styling of all visually related aspects of “out-of-store” activities such as photo shoots, video productions, media previews, fashion shows, internal selling meetings, etc. This with the ultimate goal to secure as many exposures for the brand as possible.


PLAN & EXECUTE


•Develop and maintain the overall visual merchandising strategy and standards for the brand, and execute this strategy via the brand’s Operational Visual Merchandising team as well as its visual merchandising e-Learning platform.


•In close cooperation with the Brand Director, plan the seasonal retail calendar for window and in-store displays.


•Develop seasonal visual merchandising and style guidelines with specific standards for how to display the collection in-store.


•In close cooperation with the Brand Marketing team, ensure that all in-store marketing collateral is planned, developed and implemented according to the retail and marketing calendar.


•Perform weekly meetings with the Store Design team to review new store layout and feedback important learnings from Retail.


LEAD & ENGAGE


•Build and maintain successful relationships with the Brand’s Design, Retail, Marketing, Store Design, Training, and Product teams, as well as with external suppliers and key business partners.


•Build, manage and lead an in-house creative visual merchandising team, currently consisting of 6 direct reports to ensure that they work to the highest industry standards.


•Perform market runs to seek inspiration and to continually evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the Brand visual merchandising as it is implemented across the brand’s +2,000 stores. And to make adjustments to the strategy as needed.
