Are you a native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree or higher? Do you have a desire to Teach English as a Foreign Language? Are you looking for an exciting experience in a different culture whilst earning a living? If yes, then this opportunity could be for you.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for bright, articulate graduates with excellent written and verbal English skills to work in China. All schools are in the Zhejiang province which is centred around Hanghzou City. This is a large, young, clean and vibrant city of 8 million people just 1 hour south of Shanghai. There is a large ex-pat community and excellent nightlife. The monthly salary of 7000-8000RMB (approximately £700 – £800) will provide you with plenty of disposable income on top of your provided accommodation and health insurance.

We need graduates with English as a first language and excellent written and verbal communication. Experience of TEFL teaching is desired but not essential as training can be provided before placement. Graduates will be considered if they have a desire to teach and are interested in exploring another culture. The ideal candidate will have TEFL/ESL experience and 1 year experience either as a teacher or a tutor in a class setting. Qualified teachers would also be suitable. Likewise, top graduates who are interested in teaching and exploring another culture would be suitable as well.

Please note: you do not need any knowledge of the Chinese language. This would be desirable, but is not essential.

What will you be doing?

You will teach English as a Second Language to classes of 30 – 45 in Chinese public schools. Your job will be funded by the Chinese government. You will teach 15 – 20 hours a week. We have vacancies with primary schools (aged 6- 12), secondary schools (aged 12 – 16) and further education colleges (aged 16 – 20). Obviously, the level of the children’s English varies depending on how old they are. The organisation can train you towards your TEFL qualification if you do not already have one. The initial contract will be for 1 year, though they would like people to extend these if they do well.

Important information:
*We need people available to start ideally in March 2016.
*The schools will pay for your accommodation, insurance and TEFL training (should you need it) once you are out there.
*Candidates will need to pay for their own flights out to China, which will be reimbursed.
*Candidates need to organise and pay for their own working VISA through the Chinese Embassy. The school will advise on this if successful at interview.
*Offers will only be made to those with satisfactory references, valid qualifications and clean DBS checks.
*Skype Interviews will be held before appointment to assess suitability.
