[Full-time] Sales Director Asia at Baumann Group


Sales Director Asia, Division Springs

Location: Shanghai


Report directly to: General Manager China (based in Shanghai)


Major Duties & Responsibilities


To enhance the Company’s status as the leader in the Springs and Stamping Industries;
Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies to maintain and expand upon Company’s market share and achieve the highest performance;
To evaluate and report on customers’ purchasing strategies and organization changes and proposes appropriate action plans and strategies;
To plan & prepare annual sales expense, forecasts and budgets, including project pipe line;
To plan and propose marketing programs, promotion and exhibitions. To prepare company presentation and updates;
To evaluate and report on competition, provide information on market share etc. and propose appropriate action plans where applicable;
Lead and manage the sales department to meet customer requirement and achieve short and long term company objectives;
To define and implement the appropriate procedures and work instructions related to the sales and customer service process;
To develop appropriate quotation and estimated expenditures connected with the product or project. To review all costs connected and measure them against value received;
To keep tab of changes on currencies and price fluctuations and take the appropriate action in time for price adjustments with customers;
To set department targets and measurement methods. To monitor target performance and take appropriate action in time to correct or improve performance;
To compile monthly sales reports for management analysis. To study and interpret data relating to overall results of the operation and take appropriate action in time to correct or improve performance;
Mandatory to be directly responsible for a group of customers including key accounts;
To review and approve visit plans of key account managers and sales engineers;
To attend to customers’ technical requirements, rejections and production related problems;
To review the records and reports of Key Account Managers, Sales Engineers and Customer Service Specialists periodically and give advice on improvement actions;
Identify training needs and recommend training programs and upgrading for subordinates;
To conduct interviews and performance appraisals;
Other related duties as and when assigned by Superior.
Requirement:
Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering Discipline, MBA will be an advantage;
Minimum 10 years in Sales function with at least 5 years in managerial position.
Experience in manufacturing environment and knowledge of the Automotive Industry will be highly preferred;
Strong in communication and functions well in global teams;
Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must;
Interested to work for a Swiss Company;
Willing to travel, independent, energetic and ambitious;
Customer oriented, high moral integrity.
