Principal Technical Consultant - Banking



Responsibilities:
A good level of knowledge is required on designing, planning, building, and deploying Microsoft based BI solutions including the following:

• An ability to articulate architectural differences between solutions
• Working knowledge of specialized Microsoft BI tools
• Knowledge of the Data Warehouse Lifecycle (Kimball); knowledge in the Corporate Information Factory (Bill Inmon) will be an asset
• A deep understanding of, and ability to use and explain all aspects of, relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards
• A deep understanding of, and ability to use and explain all aspects of, application integration in .NET and data integration with SQL Server and associated technologies and standards
• A good knowledge in the following Enterprise Server technology areas is also required: SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Office SharePoint Server Enterprise features, PowerPivot in Excel, Excel Services, and PerformancePoint Server
• Good knowledge of Analytics modelling
• Large enterprise deployment experience in complex heterogeneous environments
• Knowledge of full BI project life cycle design tools and methodologies
• Exceptional demonstrated consulting skills
• Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex development topics to both executive and technical personnel

Requirements:

• Min Bachelor degree in Information Technology or equivalent
• Min 10 years of relevant working experience in a Bank or a banking solutions vendor environment
• Substantial (ie. 5 years) working with MS SQL Server (or other Relational Databases) and good working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Strong knowledge of banking systems and GLs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Consultative and solution approach
• Being able to work independently or in a team
• Positive and proactive attitude.
• Able to travel on a frequent basis
