Our client is the first international high school for Chinese nationals authorised by a leading British boarding school and approved by the Chinese Education Department. The school’s core management team consists of graduates from Harvard and Oxford Universities, who have considerable experience of working in leading multi-national organisations.

Qingdao is a picturesque coastal city that lies on the southern tip of China’s Shandong Peninsula, located in Jiaozhou Bay facing the Yellow Sea. Qingdao is well known for its European architecture and attractive coastal landscape. The city has many spaces of parkland and forest, and is close to the Laoshan Scenic Area which has its own beautiful mountain landscapes and waterfalls.

The Role:Housemistress for Boarding School Students.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate a motivation to work with our client’s students in a boarding school environment. The housemaster/housemistress is a key member of the College team ensuring that the young pupils in the care of our client are guided and mentored in accordance with the College’s characteristic spirit.

The College’s traditional capacity to meet the individual needs of its students has long been recognised, valuing personal development, academic excellence, individual and team sporting achievement and the performing arts.

This post will present an opportunity for an individual with energy, enthusiasm and a natural ability to work with young people in a student centred academic environment. Willingness to get involved with extra-curricular activities as well as taking an active interest in daily College life is essential.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be qualified to teach and IGCSE/A Level subject


• Experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential.


• An individual with experience in a Pastoral roll/Tutor or head of year position would be ideal.
