Business Developer, Packaging Vertical - Microscan Systems - United States

As part of a vertical market focused team, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for sourcing of business information and driving growth within our target segments of the Packaging industry and managing the Packaging Vertical team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Identify new business at clients within in our targets segments

Explore new and existing contacts for new product/market combinations

Source information on target segments and present complete reports & market analysis

Identify interesting trends or development areas at existing clients or within the market

Work with Marketing team to define and execute Vertical marketing strategy

Evangelize the value of Microscan at tradeshows and within the Packaging market place

Report directly to the VP of Engineering and Marketing

Work with regional Sales teams to drive opportunities to closure and grow business

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor / Master degree, preferably in Engineering, Marketing or Business

Minimum of 7-10 years relevant working experience in international environment

Proven and successful experience driving business development

Previous experience in Packaging and Automation a plus

Excellent communication skills and strong in building relationships

Strong business sense for new contacts –business-opportunities

Creative approach in realizing new contacts

Ability to act and thrive in a fast paced, ambiguous environment

Must be a driven, persuasive, proactive, independent and team player

Excellent communication, and presentation skills

Additional language skills in German or Chinese is a plus

Must be willing to travel internationally up to 50%
