Server and Networking Hardware R&D Engineer - Baidu USA - Sunnyvale, CA

At Baidu Development Center, we are looking for talented industry leaders to help us shape the next generation of Baidu’s server hardware and data centers in China and all over the world. We are looking for veterans of the industry that have a track record of shipping server hardware in hyperscale data centers. We will also be looking for your review with the task to provide feedback for improving Baidu's existing servers and data centers.

As the Server and Networking Hardware R&D Engineer, you will looking for server and networking design engineers capable of owning all aspects of hardware selection and design from both OEM and ODM sources. You will work and lead the team in product definition, RFP release, EVT/DVT/PVT qualifications, manufacturing reliability and data center deployment. You will also work with team to design Baidu’s next generation data centers and hardware meeting TCO, scaleability, reliability and performance goals.

Responsibilities:
Work with a talented group of engineers and scientists on design of next generation of Baidu servers and data centersSeek out industry solutions to challenges unique to Baidu’s servers deployment in ChinaCooperate with Baidu Server Engineering Team on various tasks for production system requirement and evaluation, complete the development cycle for deployment in Baidu’s datacenters.Work with the Server team analyzing existing server performance, and fuse the learnings to future generation system design.Create, contribute, and evangelize the technologies, solutions, and best practices on new server and cluster designs.Qualification:
B.S in EE (MS preferred), CS, or similar technical disciplines.5+ years of server and hardware building and managing experienceStrong problem solving and analytical skillsSuperior oral and written communication skills. Good analytical and logical skills and eyes of detail, assess risk thoroughly and provide feasible solutions.Demonstrated ability to think "outside the box" and come up with technically creative solutions; comfortable working independently and thinking dynamically, as well as working with cross-functional teams
